Innovation is not just a case of acquiring aptitude, it is also a question of attitude. Innovators have to strive to remain creative and active. Elmar was the Winner of the Gaia Award in 2010 in La Chaux-de-Fonds along with Jacques Müller. More recently he was a Finalist of the European Inventor Award "Lifetime Achievement" in Venice in 2017 and was made a member of the Jury of the EPO Inventor Award in Vienna in 2019.
Elmar MOCK is a professional inventor-entrepreneur with 50 years of international experience. Elmar graduated as an engineer of micro technical and plastic technology in 1978. In 1980, he was the co-inventor of the original Swatch Watch. In 1986 he launched his own innovation firm - Creaholic. In 1986, he founded Creaholic, a kind of Swiss “IDEO”, an innovation factory.
For the last twenty years Elmar has become an acclaimed speaker and writer. He has held guest lectures in top universities around the world: Wharton, Yale, Ryerson, Cnam, Polytechnique Paris, KAUST, HEC Lausanne and IMD.
His first book “La Fabrique d’Innovation” co-written with Professor Gilles Garel (CNAM, Paris) won the scientific essay prize of the FNEG in Marseille in 2014.
